We are delighted to announce that the Irish Amateur Close Championship will be returning to our links in 2018.
The Close was last played on our links in 2006 and was won by a young Rory McIlroy. This will be the seventh national championship to be played on our links.

RUDDY GOLF DESIGN AT WORK IN CO. SLIGO & DONEGAL
Pat Ruddy's golf design work continues at lovely Donegal and nearby at the County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point.
Current work at Donegal involves new fairway bunkering and a new green at hole seventeen.
The great links at Rosses Point is really close to his heart as he played here as a boy in the 1950s and his programme of improvements to this Harry Colt masterpiece is progressing under the banner "Revitalising A Classic".
Works completed at the end of 2015 included considerable extensions to greens 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10; a new green at hole 3; new championship tees at holes 1, 5, 8 and 11; and new bunkering at holes 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11. The work continues at a premeditated steady pace.
